沼津(Numazu) Perle

I went to a cake shop "Perle" with Taishi. We got lost, thanks to Google Map, but got there in the end and came home with two cakes as shown in the pic, bouchee (called so in Japanese... like a large and fluffy macaron) called "pearl(perle) egg", and a croissant. The cakes had a gentle taste that would suit everyone in the family, but there was one thing that got me... I read in a note for "Pearl egg" that the cream had belgian white chocolates in it, but could not even sense a whiff of it... So all in all, my favorite was the croissant. It's sweet but the size is generous and most importantly it has the proper layers of a croissant. I often tend to be dissapointed by so-called croissants that are more like bread rolls around where I live, but this croissant is very close to what I think a real croissant should be like: delicate layers of dough, buttery taste, and a crusty outside layer. If I'm not mistaken the shop isn't too far from my vocal training class; how comforting to kknow I could pop to the shop whenever I want to on the way to class♪♪
